Made in L.A.

After my farm visits last night I came home to watch this film. I wanted to ensure if this was the correct choice to end my migration course at York. I absolutely loved it. It was a heart wrenching campaign that dragged on a little too long among migrant garment workers who made themselves be heard and seen at the bottom of the exploitation chain of the apparel industry in the US. It was also a story of women coming into their own power and at the end about the price some women pay in defying gender roles that keep them silent and invisible…soledad
