And then there is another love, another force

As soon as he saw me walking down the hill he ran towards me and stretched out his little arms to hug me firmly. We had not seen each other in two years and Diego still remembers me since he was 3 years old. I felt so loved and was in such awe that tears ran down my face. It was beautiful. I feel all the warmth and love just rush back to me when I think of that moment.

Diego is the son of a migrant worker who I have known for years. They are part of a my family and community. We are all part of a greater whole. And here I am back in the country with al the love and warmth from the South. I need to feed these beautiful seeds within me. Love has to be fed, given and received. With migrant workers and their families I see that love is indeed a force but it is one that is given in trust and respect. I will take this love to feed the rest of my dreams and to strengthen the foundation of a new era in my life.

I came back from Mexico beaming with new energy since I was reminded of what and whom I am connected to. It is not me, it is us, we are in this together-in this journey of our soul connections…
